Vocations of Lu Monferrato

A true story

323 vocationswere born from a single prayer.

In 1881, some mothers of Lu Monferrato, a small village in northern Italy, began gathering on Tuesdays before the Blessed Sacrament to ask God to call their children. Decades later, 323 priestly and religious vocations had come from that village of a few thousand inhabitants.

Prayer to the Divine Redeemer for Priestly Vocations

Divine Redeemer, with great confidence I ask You, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, and of the Glorious Saint Joseph, to grant to the Church of today and of tomorrow the gift of numerous and holy priestly vocations, that Your mercy may accompany everywhere, protect, and sanctify all those who have been ordained priests.

Amen.
